Why We Built This Site
Florida keeps most jail and inmate information open to the public, but the hard part is rarely the law. It is knowing where the person actually is. The county sheriff makes arrests, county Corrections runs the Crestview jail and its roster for people held before trial or serving short sentences, the state corrections department keeps a separate locator for sentenced prisoners, and federal and immigration detainees turn up in other systems entirely. We built this site to gather those rosters, locators, contacts, visitation details, and request steps into one place, so a family member or attorney does not have to learn the whole map first.
